Walrus

The Walrus Section/ Society began its life some 30 plus years ago and was formed so that Members who had ceased an active business life i.e. retired or otherwise, could meet together at the Clubhouse each month to chat together in the Bar Lounge for a budget priced Lunch and enjoy a Speaker as well.

Over the Years the numbers of Members have varied considerably, however we currently have between 80 and 100 people coming to our lunches which consist of Two Courses plus Coffee all for the price of £7.50 (currently).

Our Speakers are very varied covering Slide Shows, Entertainment (at Christmas), Talks of many interests and Demonstrations from time to time.

We normally have two outings per year, one in the Summer and one in November/December with a view to Christmas shopping etc. These are very well supported and early booking is recommended.

Membership of the section is £1.50 per annum.
