Bowling

The Bowling Section was formed in 1974 in answer to a demand from a group of Brookdale Members for outdoor bowling.

The sessions took place, as now, at Bramhall Park bowling green. It developed into a very successful and enthusiastic Section and members were keen to continue their activities during the winter months, Therefore, in 1991 indoor bowling was added to our programme.

Outdoor Bowling commences after Easter on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 1.30pm until approximately 4.30pm.

Indoor bowling takes place from September through till Easter on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 1.30pm and Sunday mornings from 10.00am.

We have a healthy memebrship, but are always ready to welcome newcomers, who initially may borrow bowls belonging to the section, until they are able to purchase their own.

Winter is the time for indoor bowling at the Club, and in the summer the Green at Bramhall Park is only a pleasant stroll away.
